11 Police Shot At Dallas Protest
Shots were reported fired in downtown Dallas on Thursday night during a protest over shootings by police of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota. Eleven police officers have been shot, according to city police Chief David Brown. Three officers have died: one DART officer and two Dallas police officers, Brown said.
Dallas police were neogiating with a suspect at a parking garage in downtown Dallas, Chief David Brown said at a press conference. Police have been exchanging gunfire with the suspect for 45 minutes. “The suspect has told our negotiators that the end is coming,” Brown said. The suspect told officers that he is going to hurt and kill a lot of them, and said he’s placed bombs in downtown Dallas, Brown said. As of now 5 of the officers have died.
